Secretary - Kayla Campasino

The euphoric feeling of flying for the first time is still fresh within
me. I took a tandem with Shawn MacDuff while camping with my dad at Hyner.
My heart was pounding as I looked out over the drop-off, wondering if that
was where we would end up. CLEAR! Then we were running and suddenly I was
soaring without a care in the world. I knew right then that I wanted to be
a pilot. So here I am, a 20-year-old student at Harford Community College,
and a freshly rated H-1. As the new secretary of the MHGA club, I look
forward to getting to know all of you better, and flying solo in the near
 future.  Kayla

Flight Director - Janni Papakrivos

Hi,

My name is Janni Papakrivos. I was born and raised in Germany. I came to the US four years ago and took hang gliding lessons with Rich Hays. What was supposed to be a fun thing to do quickly became a passion that will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. HG to me is commitment, training, challenge and setting goals. Sometimes, when I do poorly, it is curse, too. My goal is to fly 100 miles. I am working very hard to accomplish that. It's not easy. You need immaculate skills, an iron will, the perfect day and a bit of luck. It will soon happen.
When I don't fly I work at NIH as a research scientist. Right now we're trying to figure out drug resistance in malaria, certainly not an easy task.

Looking forward to flying with y'all.

Cheers
